I was looking at lijit today a very interesting search widget that allows you to put together a search of all the online content that you publish or read.
I've published my lijit here, it searches my vox blog, del.icio.us bookmarks, google shared items, flickr photos and linkedin profile as well as a few of the blogs that I read which I'll keep adding to. It did make me think about all the information that I already publish and make available online. Perhaps someone will have some thought on how to manage my digital identity at this evening's mashup event on that very subject. I'll try a post from there later.
I'd like to include the lijit search on my Vox page but the feature allowing you to embed code widgets isn't launched yet. I think it might be in private beta at the moment. I hope they launch it soon; I'm looking into APIs and Widgets and the lack of this feature is making me think about setting up another blog to look at and trial some of the more techie / open stuff. That'll be yet another blog to search with lijit...
Looking forward to Netvibes universes finally going live so that I can create one of my own. Basically if you use Netvibes you can then publish your own pages / sites onto a public area which pulls together all the feeds that you find interesting.
So you can publish a pretty good website just made up of RSS feeds like this one
In a last minute attempt to generate some extra traffic for our you tube video (not that I'm competitive or anything) I have Dugg the BBC story that has driven the most traffic to us. Its an experiment to see if the indirect approach will work, I'll let you know if I get any results.
I think that's the last of the link building efforts now.....
